With a hands‑on, technically driven approach, we are advancing both leach and concentrator operations to produce high‑quality copper and molybdenum products.Position OverviewThe Mill Superintendent leads the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a copper (preferred) concentrator, overseeing crushing, grinding, flotation, dewatering, and tailings systems. This role is responsible for delivering production KPIs, driving continuous improvement, and providing strong, visible leadership across the operations team while coordinating closely with maintenance, metallurgy, and mine operations.Job ResponsibilitiesLead daily mill operations to meet production targets, recovery, and throughput KPIsOversee crushing, grinding, flotation, thickening, filtration, and tailings handling systemsOptimize plant performance by monitoring grind size, flotation parameters (reagents, pH, airflow), and recovery metricsCollaborate with metallurgical and technical teams to improve plant performance and implement process improvementsEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards across all operationsSupervise, mentor, and develop mill operations staff; ensure training completion and competency sign‑offsOwn and manage SOPs, ensuring documents are current, followed, and continuously improvedAnalyze production data to identify trends and drive improvements in recovery, efficiency, and cost per tonneCoordinate with maintenance, mine operations, and other departments to ensure consistent feed and production plansTroubleshoot operational issues across processing circuits to minimize downtime and maintain stabilityManage reagents and consumables, including inventory, usage optimization, and safe handlingSupport tailings and water management systems to ensure proper operation and environmental complianceLead and support continuous improvement and capital projects related to plant and process upgradesProvide accurate operational data for reporting and planning purposesQualifications5–10+ years of mining experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role (concentrator experience required, copper preferred)Strong knowledge of mineral processing, including crushers, grinding circuits, flotation, dewatering, and tailings systemsProven leadership ability with experience managing teams, meeting KPIs, and driving performanceExperience with SOP development, training programs, and operational standardizationStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skillsEffective communicator with the ability to coordinate across departments and levelsProficient in Microsoft Office and operational reporting toolsBachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field is an assetValid driver's license and ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environmentsWillingness to work in a 24/7 operation, including on‑call supportStrong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementPhysical DemandsTo be eligible for this position, an individual must possess the following requirements to perform the essential job functions:Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking on uneven surfaces, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather.Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating information.Able to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.Able to lift up to 25 pounds periodically.#J-18808-Ljbffr
