Overview

Produce Associate at Sam's Club

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr

This range is provided by Sam's Club. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Position Summary: You will be on the front lines of customer service, helping ensure quality, availability, cleanliness, and freshness of produce. You will contribute to a positive shopping experience for members and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products; collaborate with cross?functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively; adapt to the needs of the business; assist with tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, and controlling shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of produce; prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and sanitation; comply with laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality.
  • Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage with associates; use handheld technology to support production, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage their use.
  • Be an Owner: Drive area performance; utilize digital tools; manage inventory to stock and rotate products; ensure quality and date control; reduce waste; assist customers and respond to their needs per company policies.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products; maintain energy, commitment, and passion for the work; advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member experience.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics; apply the Open Door Policy in business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; identify opportunities for improvement; adapt to change and feedback.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must successfully complete all required trainings and assessments for the position if hired.
