STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Responsible for receiving and dispatching radio calls, answering multi-line phones, routing transit vehicles, preparing daily deposits, monitoring vehicle status; and performing routine clerical duties. May require transporting passengers on a demand responsive public transportation system. Requires non-standard or rotating shift work, including weekends and may be subject to call back. This is a part-time position that will work no more than 29 hours per week.NOTE: This is a safety-sensitive position subject to the required testing policy per the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The incumbent is required to fully comply with all operational safety rules and regulations established by Bullhead Area Transit.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE/LICENSING & TRAINING
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D.) and one-year clerical experience providing services to the general public; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
LICENSING & TRAINING:
*Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.

- Performs a variety of office, administrative, and general support assignments; gathers, assembles, organizes, and tabulates data and information.
- Answers multi-line phones and provide callers with information regarding directions and City's transit services.
- Schedule passenger trips for the Dial-A-Ride service and for the Senior Center Transportation service.
- Receives and dispatches radio calls to drivers on route.
- Uses spreadsheets and other special computer software.
- Performs data entry in order to maintain records and generate reports.
- Completes reports related to vehicle operations and maintenance.
- Collects and record transit fares; reconcile the drivers' paperwork and prepare deposits.
- Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Responsible for coordinating continuation of service between drivers, the Transit Operations Supervisor, and contracted mechanic staff.
- Complies with and promotes safe practices in agreement with the safety rules and procedures set forth.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
