Role Overview

Join a fast-growing national leader in sustainable solutions that operates across recycling, pallets, organics, commodities, and zero-waste programs. This role is designed for a rising sales executive ready to scale a team and drive growth across a two-sided marketplace. Youll have a direct path to VP, with the mandate to set strategy, optimize performance, and shape company culture at an organization combining environmental sustainability with measurable financial ROI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, lead, and develop a multi-level sales organization (account managers, customer success, new-logo rainmakers).
  • Drive revenue growth on both sides of a commodity marketplacealign sourcing and selling capacity.
  • Create and enforce quotas, KPIs, territories, and forecasting models.
  • Stand up scalable outbound and relationship-led sales playbooks, comp plans, and pipeline discipline.
  • Partner with sourcing and operations to align pricing, capacity, and profitability.
  • Implement best-in-class CRM processes, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Track market trends and commodity pricing to inform contracts and renewals.
Education & Qualifications
  • 812+ years in B2B sales, including 4+ years leading teams.
  • Proven success building/scaling sales organizations.
  • Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and data-driven operating style.
  • Advanced CRM proficiency and reporting rigor.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Exposure to two-sided marketplaces or commodity sales (recycling, logistics, produce, industrials).
  • Background in entrepreneurial, growth-stage, or PE-backed companies.
  • Experience launching outbound/SDR engines and enterprise hunter motions.
  • Pricing and contract management in volatile markets.
