Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the overall administration of material in the Electric Generation warehouses for Desert Star Energy Center.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive/Issue material: verify material shipped, put away material, maintain documentation, obtain accounting information and update Inventor Management System. Create bin location, organize material and warehouse for optimal space utilization.
- Source the material required from Material Request Form utilizing technical source documents, vendor websites, etc. Procure required material by charging a blanket non-stock consumable purchase order, issuing an inventory stock spare purchase order, or credit card. Works directly with maintenance group to insure that all parts required for outages are on site and ready for issue.
- Generate cycle count report on a predetermined schedule, verify counts, update and reconcile Inventory Management System. Communicate shortage/surplus materials to maintenance planner. Maintain an appropriate stocking level of inventory spare parts and consumables.
- Assist Accounts Payable and plant personnel to resolve outstanding invoices in SAP. Participate in internal audits as well as financial and Sarbanes Oxley audits.
- Create, develop, and maintain relationships with vendor's representative in a manner that is beneficial to the plant, plant personnel, and the company and the vendor.
- Operate warehouse and heavy-lift forklift as necessary, move material within warehouse, unload and load freight trucks, move material within plant boundaries. Keep warehouse clean and clear of safety hazards.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Location:
- Must reside in Arizona or Nevada.
- Must be able to report to the Desert Star Energy Center located at 701 Eldorado Valley Dr., Boulder City, NV 89005.
- This position may also be required to travel to San Diego and other locations for various meetings, training, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma/GED High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel) and SAP or similar Inventory Management System.
- Warehousing and forklift experience required.
