Description

Summary:
Monitor the property using a digital surveillance system to ensure compliance with gaming regulations; maintains shift log & reports suspicious activities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the training of new hires and participate in all on-going Department training.
• Monitor and report any deviation or issue of non-compliance from the property's policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report any unusual or suspicious activity in or on the perimeter of the property.
• Monitor and report any unauthorized access to sensitive areas of the property.
• Monitor and report any violation of gaming integrity including cheating at play and suspicious financial transactions.
• Log and respond to radio calls.
• Maintain a log of the routine tasks performed within the Surveillance room and on the gaming floor.
• Observe all internal cash asset transfers and escorts.
• Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent working experience.
  • Previous security/surveillance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of surveillance equipment and cheating desirable.
  • Knowledge of Table Games including Blackjack basic strategy and card counting. techniques, terminology, knowledge of cheat data bases, Crap and Roulette pay outs; Soft Count and Hard Count standards; Slot Operations and working knowledge of Nevada Gaming Standards and Regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of Surveillance digital recording system; possess knowledge of computer programs such as Word and Excel in order to document, via report writing.
  • Strong communications skills to verbalize incidents and daily happenings in the department, along with strong reading and writing skills for reporting purposes.
  • Willing to work any shift on any day.
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
  • Verify right to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • Use hands to hold tools and/or equipment required for position.
  • Lift or carry up to ten (10) pounds.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment Conditions

The work environment is characterized as an office setting, where computers and standard office equipment will be supplied and used as a part of the job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The immediate work environment is smoke free; however a smoking environment does exist in the building.
