Description

Summary:

Provide properly maintained slot machines and get them back into play as quickly as possible when malfunctions occur. Additional duties include moving slot machines when the slot floor layout is modified or when replacement games are delivered, as well as programming and upgrading machines.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair functions to electronic faults at board level of slot equipment.
  • Perform immediate, periodic, and overhaul maintenance on gaming machines, equipment and hardware.
  • Research and diagnose slot equipment malfunctions.
  • Flash and download software on printers.
  • Verify the correct functioning games through checklist and SDS MLIST verification.
  • Move slot machines from one location to another or remove games from the floor when needed.
  • Operate hand tools, soldering equipment, electrical test equipment, and other equipment as needed.
  • Walk the slot floor looking for areas that need improvement, including burned out lights, missing labels, and signs that need repair.
  • Keep bill acceptors, ticket printers, and SDS Mastercoms updated with the latest software.
  • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training preferred.
  • Two years' experience in the installation and service of gaming machines and associated equipment required.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Experience in repair of electronics and computer software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is desirable, as well as AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Player Development applications and slot systems, preferably Bally SDS and CMP.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • The primary language spoken and written is English.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
  • Verify right to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to walk, stand or sit for long periods.
  • Use hands to operate equipment and tools needed for position.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds alone or more with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment Conditions

The work environment is comprised of three primary areas; Office space, the slot shop, and the casino floor. The office area has moderate noise levels and is smoke free. The slot shop can at times have high levels of noise from power equipment and is smoke free. The casino environment has high noise levels, crowded and sometimes difficult walking conditions, and second hand smoke.
