The incumbent is responsible for promoting the recognized safety practices among state agencies, which is covered by state and federal safety health and safety laws and regulations. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of safety reviews on all state buildings, monitoring outside vendors for loss prevention, loss control, and ergonomic evaluation services. Additional responsibilities include conducting and reviewing accident investigations of workers' compensation injuries, developing the annual safety report, coordinating quarterly safety meetings with all safety coordinators, planning, and coordinating the annual safety conference, developing training modules, and compiling statistical data on accident causation.
